StudyKit is a centralized digital platform designed to support students with easy access to academic tools, resources, and services. The project aimed to solve the problem of scattered, unreliable sources by creating a clean, user-friendly system that improves learning efficiency and accessibility.
1. Discover – Understanding the Problem
The project began by exploring the struggles students face in accessing reliable academic resources. Research showed that most students rely on scattered, informal sources that lack consistency, credibility, and accessibility.
Key Insight: Students need a centralized, trustworthy, and easy-to-use platform to improve their study experience.
2. Ideate – Exploring Concepts
With the problem clear, we brainstormed ways to create a student-focused platform. Wireframes and sketches explored different layouts for dashboards, resource libraries, and collaboration features. Team discussions refined the ideas to ensure the design stayed simple and purposeful.
Decision: Focus on a streamlined platform that highlights essential tools while avoiding information overload.
3. Design – Bringing the Concept to Life
We transformed concepts into high-fidelity designs using Figma. The UI emphasized clarity, modern visuals, and consistent branding. Color schemes, typography, and components were chosen to reflect both professionalism and approachability, making the platform engaging for students.
Prototype: Interactive prototypes demonstrated key flows such as resource browsing, scheduling, and task management.
4. Test & Refine – Improving the Experience
Usability testing was conducted with students to identify pain points. Feedback revealed issues such as unclear navigation in certain sections and the need for more visual hierarchy.
Final Adjustments: Enhanced button clarity, improved spacing, and ensured responsiveness across devices for accessibility.
5. Deliver – Handing Off the Design
The final handoff included design files, assets, and a complete design system for developers. Mockups illustrated how StudyKit could work on desktop and mobile, ensuring a smooth transition into implementation.
Conclusion
StudyKit successfully addressed the problem of fragmented academic resources. By creating a centralized, student-friendly platform, the design improved efficiency, reduced frustration, and made learning more accessible. The result is a solution that empowers students with the right tools in one place. The result? A user-centered website that reduced onboarding time by 30% and improved user satisfaction.
